GeoVENA

Predictive Resource Targeting System, Offshore Oil & Gas Validation (North Sea, Norwegian Sector)

The points on this map are target coordinates produced by GeoVENA, a proprietary predictive targeting system, in a single run across the full offshore survey area of the North Sea (approximately 790,000 km²).

In that run the system returned 33 targets that fall within 5 kilometres of a verified oil or gas well. Each target is shown together with its well, marked with a production facility symbol; the well name, coordinate, oil or gas result, and the distance are available on each marker.

Statistical strength: across the full survey area these coincidences occur more than ten times as often as chance would allow (p < 0.001), placing the result far beyond statistical noise.

An important point about these distances: the surface facility marks where the drilling entered, not where the resource sits. Offshore wells are drilled from a surface position that can stand kilometres from the reservoir itself, which lies deep below and to the side, and a single reservoir can extend for many kilometres. A gap of several kilometres between a surface wellhead and a target can therefore fall within the extent of the same accumulation. The exact subsurface outlines are held privately by the operators; the surface wellheads are the only public reference points.

Every target is produced through a single, repeatable run of the system. Nothing about the method, its inputs, or its workings is disclosed.
